The Research Affairs Committee (RAC) of Sri Aurobindo College, established in 2025, functions as a central body dedicated to fostering a culture of research, innovation, and academic excellence. The committee plays a pivotal role in planning, promoting, and coordinating research initiatives across disciplines while creating a supportive ecosystem for faculty and students to pursue scholarly work.Comprising 25 members, the RAC serves as a catalyst for nurturing inquiry, creativity, and innovation. Through its efforts, the committee strengthens the research ecosystem of Sri Aurobindo College and supports its mission of advancing knowledge with societal relevance.

Mission


The Research Affairs Committee (RAC) is dedicated to promoting interdisciplinary research, strengthening institutional research capacity, and supporting faculty and students in pursuing high-quality scholarly work. The mission is to provide strategic guidance, resources, and ethical oversight to enhance the institution’s research profile.

Objectives

  • To formulate and implement research policies aligned with institutional and global priorities.
  • To identify emerging areas of study and encourage innovative, interdisciplinary collaborations.
  • To create opportunities for faculty and students to engage in impactful research.
  • To promote integrity, ethics, and quality in research practices.

Functions

  • Planning, promoting, and coordinating research activities across departments.
  • Assisting in grant writing, funding acquisition, and effective resource allocation.
  • Organizing seminars, workshops, and conferences to share knowledge and build research skills.
  • Reviewing and monitoring ongoing projects, enhancing publications, and facilitating patents.
  • Building partnerships with industries, academic institutions, and research organizations.
