The college takes pride in its well-equipped and modern Science Laboratories, designed to provide hands-on learning and practical experience to students across various scientific disciplines. The laboratories for Botany, Chemistry,Computer Sciene Electronics, Physics, and Zoology are outfitted with advanced instruments, safety equipment, and the necessary materials to conduct experiments aligned with the academic curriculum. Supervised by experienced faculty and trained lab assistants, these labs create an environment that fosters scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and innovation. Regular maintenance and strict adherence to safety standards ensure that students can carry out experiments efficiently and safely, making the labs an integral part of the college’s commitment to quality science education.

Botany Lab

The Botany Lab of the college is a well-equipped and spacious facility that provides students with practical exposure to plant sciences. It houses a wide range of specimens, microscopes, charts, and models that support the study of plant anatomy, physiology, taxonomy, ecology, and biotechnology. The lab is designed to complement classroom learning by enabling students to conduct experiments, observe microscopic plant structures, and engage in hands-on activities that enhance their understanding of theoretical concepts. Managed by qualified faculty and trained lab assistants, the Botany Lab maintains a safe, organized, and stimulating environment that encourages scientific exploration and research in the field of botany.

Chemistry Lab

The Chemistry Lab at the college is a state-of-the-art facility equipped with modern instruments and safety equipment to provide students with comprehensive practical training. It offers a well-organized space for conducting experiments in organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge through hands-on experience. The lab is stocked with a wide variety of chemicals, glassware, and analytical tools necessary for precise experimentation. Supervised by experienced faculty and trained technical staff, the Chemistry Lab emphasizes safety protocols and scientific rigor, fostering a productive learning environment that prepares students for advanced studies and careers in chemical sciences.The lab is created to be fire resistant and has facilities of fire extinguishers along with first aid kits in order to handle any kind of mishap.

Electronics Lab

The Electronics Laboratory of the college is a state-of-the-art facility designed to provide students with practical knowledge and skills in electronic circuits, devices, and systems. Equipped with advanced instruments such as digital oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters, and microprocessor kits, the lab supports a wide range of experiments in analog and digital electronics, communication systems, optics, electrical machine and embedded technologies. It offers students hands-on experience in circuit design, testing, and troubleshooting, thereby bridging the gap between theory and application. The lab plays a crucial role in nurturing technical proficiency, innovation, and a strong foundation in electronics for aspiring graduates and technologists.There are five well equipped laboratoriesnamely:

Computer Lab

The Computer Lab at Sri Aurobindo College is a modern, well-equipped facility that supports teaching, research, and skill development across disciplines. With advanced hardware, licensed software, and high-speed internet, it provides students with hands-on experience in programming, data analysis, and digital tools. There are following four computer labs:

  • Computer Lab-1 with 33 Computers
  • Computer Lab-2 with 27 Computers
  • Computer Lab-3 with 24 Computers
  • Computer Lab-4 with 16 Computers

The computers are connected together viaLAN facility and have various software’s such as MS Office 2010, Tally, MySQL, Cisco, Xilinxand MATLAB etc.Computer Lab is used by students of B.Com.(P), B.Com.(H), B.Sc. PhysicalScience, B.Sc.(H)Electronics courses for theirlab classes.Regularly upgraded to meet industry standards, the lab fosters innovation, problem-solving, and digital proficiency, preparing students for the demands of a technology-driven world.

Physics Lab

The Physics Laboratory of the college is a well-equipped space designed to provide students with practical exposure to fundamental and advanced concepts in physics. It serves as a hub for experimentation in areas such as mechanics, optics, electricity, magnetism, and modern physics. The lab is equipped with a wide range of measuring instruments including Verniercallipers, spectrometers, and magnetic apparatus such as bar magnets and iron filings for magnetism-related experiments. It also houses optical instruments like telescopes, microscopes, lenses, mirrors, and prisms, along with electrical equipment such as rheostats and slide wires. Through hands-on activities and guided experiments, students develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a deeper understanding of physical principles. The lab fosters a spirit of scientific inquiry and forms an integral part of the teaching-learning process in the department.

Zoology Laboratory

The Zoology Laboratory at our college offers a well-equipped and dynamic environment for hands-on learning and scientific exploration. The Department of Zoology has two well-equipped laboratories to provide students with a practical experience in the field of Animal Diversity, Cell & Developmental Biology of Animals, Human Physiology, Biochemistry, Immunology, and Ecology. It houses a diverse collection of preserved specimens, models, microscopes, and other essential tools that enhance the understanding of theoretical concepts through observation and experimentation. With a focus on encouraging scientific learning, the Department of Zoology plays a vital role in nurturing future researchers and academicians.
