The University Grants Commission (UGC) proposes that every higher education institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to ensure performance evaluation, assessment, accreditation, and quality improvement. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC of Sri Aurobindo College has become an integral part of the institution, working consistently towards realizing the goals of academic excellence, quality enhancement, and sustenance.
The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic improvement in the performance of the institution, while also channelizing efforts towards academic innovation and excellence. The effectiveness of IQAC lies in the sense of belongingness, collaboration, and participation of all stakeholders. At Sri Aurobindo College, the IQAC acts as a facilitative and participative statutory body, functioning as a vehicle to identify challenges, remove deficiencies, and enhance overall institutional quality.
The primary aim of the IQAC is to develop a robust and sustainable mechanism for quality assurance and continuous improvement in both academic and administrative domains. Its objectives include:
