The Department of Computer Science, established in 2013, has rapidly grown into a center of academic excellence and innovation at the college. With a forward-looking approach, the department is committed to equipping students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills that meet the demands of today’s fast-evolving digital world. It offers a range of programs, including Generic Elective, Skill Enhancement, and Value Addition courses, enabling students from diverse disciplines to benefit from the growing relevance of computer science across industries.
Our vision is to create an ecosystem that nurtures innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities while instilling strong ethical and professional values. The department places a strong emphasis on experiential learning through modern pedagogical practices, well-equipped computer laboratories, and exposure to cutting-edge technologies. With the implementation of government-driven blended learning initiatives, students experience a balanced mix of classroom instruction and technology-enabled education, ensuring they remain future-ready.
Beyond academics, the department encourages students to participate in workshops, coding competitions, seminars, and interdisciplinary projects that build confidence, leadership qualities, and teamwork. The dedicated faculty members, with their diverse expertise, mentor students in research, application development, and emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, data science, and cybersecurity.
